Do you have a runny or stuffy nose, loss of your sense of smell, cough, wheezing, shortness of breath or repeated sinus infections?  We can help.

Dr. Gottlieb is an expert in allergy related problems of the nose, sinuses and lungs. We specialize in treating allergies and asthma in children and adults.  If you have nasal polyps that are blocking  your nose, special testing and medical treatment is available.

Allergic reactions to insect stings are also our specialty.  "Whole body" reactions to these stings include hives, breathing difficulties, shock and loss of consciousness.  If you have had a "whole body" type of reaction to a fire ant, honeybee, hornet, wasp or yellow jacket sting, we can test you to determine which  insects are likely to be a threat to you and we can treat you to prevent future reactions.

New approaches to desensitizing patients to peanut, milk and egg now exist.  For most patients, they can be desensitized to these foods.  So that they are able to eat them without the risk of an allergic reaction.  Of course, each patient is different and will need to be evaluated to see which approach is best for you.

Patients who have an allergic reaction to their chemotherapy are often told that they can no longer be treated with that drug, even if it is the best, or perhaps the only, treatment for their cancer.  We can help patients to be treated with the best chemotherapy agent, even if they have had an allergic reaction to it.

We have desensitized patients to every type of chemotherapy agent.  In fact, we have done over 700 desensitization's over the past seven years, all of which have been successful.

Penicillin type antibiotics are still the best treatment for many infections.  Most patients who have had a reaction in the past lose their allergic sensitivity over a number of years.  You can be tested to determine if it is now safe for you to take penicillin antibiotics.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely, Dr. George Gottlieb & Staff
